Hylomar M Blue Sealant, 80 ml Tube Hylomar M is a specially formulated permanently plastic sealing and jointing compound based on Hylomar Universal Blue technology, but using a chlorine-free hydrocarbon solvent carrier. The product is particularly effective for sealing closely spaced flanges subject to vibration and operates at temperatures ranging from -50 to 250°C. Because Hylomar M is permanently plastic, it allows for an unlimited assembly time, which is particularly useful for very large industrial components whose assembly can take several hours. The product’s low cohesive strength also allows for easy disassembly. The Ruhr Area Hygiene Institute has tested Hylomar M in accordance with the KTW guideline. On August 23, 2010, the Ruhr Area Hygiene Institute issued Test Certificate No. K-1193629-10-Sf/st for Hylomar M.    Hylomar M is resistant to a wide range of fluids, including all industrial fuels, oils, water, brine, air, turbine and piston engine combustion products, water/glycol, methanol blends, petroleum and synthetic diester-based lubricants, diesel, lubricating oils, kerosene-based fluids, and most fluorocarbon refrigerants. Hylomar M can be used to seal closely fitted surfaces or threaded components, as well as an in-situ seal to replace a preformed gasket or as a gasket dressing.
