Brake pads

Karting brake pads for all chassis brands

The brake pad is the wear item that decides braking performance, fading and safety. At keep-racing you find karting brake pads in different compound hardnesses and for all common chassis brake systems.

Which brake pads fit your chassis?

  • OTK (Tony Kart, Exprit, Kosmic, Redspeed, FA Kart): several caliper generations (BS5/BS6/BS7)
  • CRG (Zanardi, Kalikart, DR Kart): own caliper family (V05/V09/V11)
  • Birel ART, Gillard, VEN 05: brand-specific systems

Order by chassis model and caliper version. In doubt about your version, call us at +49 2473 9370480 with chassis year and caliper marking.

How often to replace brake pads?

Visual inspection before every race weekend. Rear pads typically last 3–6 race weekends, depending on driver, track and compound. Replace when pad material below 3 mm or if glazed. Front pads (only shifter/KZ) last significantly longer.

Race vs. Standard compound

  • Race compound: higher friction at operating temperature, needs 1–2 warm laps
  • Standard compound: bites immediately from cold — better for sprint races and rental karts
