MIKUNI diaphragm fuel pumps can be used in four-stroke and two-stroke engines. They are driven by the pulse automatically generated by the engine’s reciprocating pistons. These pumps ensure a constant and even flow of fuel from the tank to the carburetor. Generally, these pumps are used on vehicles that are subject to high acceleration and centrifugal forces, or where the tank is mounted below the carburetor. When using fuel pumps, it is essential to adjust the float needle valve seat. Using a smaller float needle valve seat ensures a seal against the increased pump pressure.
